After Kevin Stöger, Tim Kleindienst could be the next player to sign for Borussia Mönchengladbach.

According to Sky Germany, Borussia Mönchengladbach are investigating the possibility of signing Heidenheim’s Tim Kleindienst.

The report claims that Die Fohlen have already held talks with the 28-year-old Heidenheim striker about a possible summer move.

He has a contract that runs until 2027, but it reportedly includes a release clause, with Sky Germany estimating it to be between €7-12 million, depending on which club triggers the clause.

Given Gladbach’s rather unconvincing 14th place finish, they would be able to sign him for a fee at the lower end of the spectrum.

Kleindienst scored 14 goals in 35 games for Heidenheim in all competitions through the 2023/24 campaign.

In total, he has made 172 appearances for the club, scoring 83 goals and providing 23 assists.

Gladbach announced their second signing for the 2024/25 campaign on Tuesday, introducing Kevin Stoeger, who arrives from VFL Bochum on a three-year deal.

Die Fohlen have also confirmed the capture of Holstein Kiel captain Luca Sander.
